Welcome to Therapy Bay - Your Safe Harbour for Healing and Growth

Counselling and Coaching in Kidderminster, Wyre Forest, Worcestershire and online.

Hi, my name is Angela

I am a compassionate, fully qualified counsellor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when anxiety or depression takes hold. These struggles can leave you feeling stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about the future. If you find yourself battling constant worry, low mood, or a sense of emptiness, you don’t have to face it alone.

At Therapy Bay, I offer a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement. Together, we’ll work to understand what’s happening beneath the surface, uncover patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop healthier ways of coping.

Counselling can help you:

  • Ease the weight of anxiety and find ways to calm your mind
  • Work through feelings of sadness, loss, or low self-worth
  • Build resilience and reconnect with the things that matter most to you
  • Find clarity, balance, and a renewed sense of hope for the future

My approach is grounded in empathy, active listening, and the healing power of human connection. Each session is tailored to your unique needs, so you feel supported at every step of your journey.

Grief and Loss Support

The pain of losing someone close to you or experiencing a significant life change can be overwhelming. In these times, it may feel like you're carrying an emotional weight that's too heavy to bear.

You don't have to walk this journey alone.

I offer a compassionate space for you to express how you feel, work through your emotions, and discover ways to heal at your own pace. Together, we can navigate the complexities of grief, helping you find meaning, peace and a renewed sense of self.

Living with Long-Term Health Conditions

Living with a long term health condition can present a range of emotional, mental and physical challenges. Whether you're adjusting to a new diagnosis or managing an illness, it can be tough to maintain balance and well being. I'm here to support you through this process, helping you to develop coping strategies and resilience so that you can navigate your condition with strength and purpose. Together we'll find ways to nurture your mental health, boost your emotional resilience and empower you to live life, how you want it to be.

Finding Meaning and Purpose in Mid-Life

Mid-life can be a time of reflection, change and self discovery. Many individuals at this stage of life experience a desire to find a deeper meaning or purpose. Whether you're questioning your life's direction, seeking fulfilment in your career, or contemplating what's next, I can help you explore these feelings with clarity and insight. Together we can work through the transitions that come with this stage of life, identify your core values, and create a path forward that aligns with your true self and brings greater meaning to your everyday life.

SPEAK IN CONFIDENCE

I understand that each individual's journey is unique, and healing and growth take time. My approach is grounded in empathy, active listening, and creating a supportive environment where you can explore your feelings without judgement. Whether you're coping with grief, managing a long-term health condition, or seeking clarity in mid-life, I'm here to guide you and support you through your journey.

A Blended Approach: Counselling Meets Coaching

When you're going through a tough time or feeling stuck, it can be hard to know exactly what kind of support you need. Sometimes, you just want someone to really listen—someone who gets it. Other times, you want help to understand what’s next and how to move forward. That’s why I blend counselling and coaching in the way I work.

Counselling gives you space to slow down, reflect, and explore what's going on beneath the surface. It’s a gentle, supportive process that can help you make sense of emotions, past experiences, and patterns that might be holding you back.

Coaching, on the other hand, is more forward-focused. It’s about setting goals, building confidence, and taking meaningful steps toward the life you want to create. Coaching can help you find direction and stay motivated when you’re ready for change.

By bringing the two together, we can work in a way that’s flexible and personalised. Some days, you might just need to talk and be heard. Other days, you might be ready to roll up your sleeves and take action. This blended approach means we can do both—healing where it’s needed, and growing where you’re ready.

There’s no one-size-fits-all here. Just a supportive space to explore, heal, and move forward—at your pace, in your way.
